The Karen Millen Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 collection features a mix of super-chic daywear and ultra-glamorous eveningwear.
The daywear collection, is inspired by the summer’s Seventies trend. The effortless mood of easy glamour has been re-interpreted into a line of versatile and modern tailored separates. Masculine tailoring is juxtaposed with feminine blush tones, dark-wash denim and delicate lace. Key investment coats for the season come in a variety of fabrics and include a bold-stripe blanket coat with Navajo influences and sleek leather biker jackets. Soft lightweight tailored wool pieces in caramel anf grey marl, complement a range of blue denim and jet black, creating the perfect foundation of skinny trousers and the skirt length of the season, the Midi.
The eveningwear collection celebrates ‘richness’ with deep berry colours and luxurious textures, including lace, silk, imitation fur and satins. Handworked detailings, such as 3-dimensional ruffles, oversized sequins and delicate beading give the collection the classic glamour that Karen Millen is so well known for. Accessories, such as beaded and animal print bags, and imitation fur stoles add an extra touch of decadence to the collection.
So without firther ado, we present the Autumn/Winter 2011-12 colelction from highstreet giant, Karen Millen.
