Inspired by Bingo Halls and Country Living, the House of Holland Autumn/Winter 2011-12 collection sees flamboyant designer Henry Holland at his absolute best. Of course, the House of Holland girl is way too young to wear the pearl necklaces seen in bingo halls and country manners, so instead the pearls were appliqued onto sleeves and into mock bodices on otherwise simple dresses. Fine Harris tweeds with pops of patent neon were offset by light silks printed with bingo balls or budgies in their cages – in typical House of Holland ‘tongue-n-cheek’ style.
The stand out pieces of the collection were the crochet patch prints which was reworked into an orange, pink and purple Swarovski-encrusted chiffon jumpsuit or cocktail dress wrapped in a matching cashmere version.
So without further delay, here is the full Autumn/Winter 2011-12 collection, from British fashion label, House of Holland.
