For Winter 2011-2012 Holly Fulton pays tribute to the power of love and the magic of love with a collection brimming with rich textures, luxurious handwork details and surrealist graphic prints. The inspiration behind the collection comes from Coco Chanel’s passionate affair with the Duke of Westminster. Bespoke hand woven tweeds in bold yellow, ivory and black is threaded with snakeskin and velvet ribbon to create easy chic jackets, and shift dresses are embellished with Mongolian fur trims.
To accompany the signature Holly Fulton graphic Art Deco prints are psychedelic ‘hand and gun’ and ‘lips smoking’ prints that feature on palazzo pants and silk column dresses that hang from crystal, python and patent neck pieces. The collection has a rich colour palette of azure, teal, chrome yellow, charcoal and red creating a feel of modern luxury. Winter 2011-2012 sees Holly Fulton collaborate with Swarovski for the 5th season to create crystal embellishments that include mirrored pieces and Pollock inspired splashes that drip down the necklines and shoulders of evening gowns.
