For her second collection under NEWGEN sponsorship, Felicity Brown took inspiration from Picasso’s cubism period. Her trademark voluminous dresses appear to have been ripped, sheared and stripped back to their fundamental elements. Skeletal boning of corset dresses have been reworked with cotton ribbons trailing from the cage structures of the bodices and from the disintegrated netting on the skirts. Felicity has chosen a colour palette of black, cream, pale yellow, peach, teal and blood red, combined with tribal influenced pieces.
